Deus vult

The only browser strategy game that sets every decision against what actually happened

A solo, turn-based campaign through a real Crusade, playable in any browser. It tells you the cost without flinching. Made for people who already play Crusader Kings, Total War or Age of Empires, and read or watch history for fun.

Sample screens, drawn for this page. Generated map art.

How it plays

  1. Face a fork

Every major decision is a real historical fork: the march route, siege or parley, an alliance, supply.

  2. Make the call

Solo and turn-based, so take your time. Pause at any moment; a session runs 10 to 20 minutes.

  3. Read the cost

Your choice is set against what actually happened, and the cost is stated without flinching.
